At Mount Hermoun, all the lessons are planned and delivered to ensure that every pupil experience High Quality learning in every classroom. All of our teachers plan lessons using our “Effective Learning Frameworkâ. This is a four part lesson, including links to previous learning, opportunities to demonstrate and consolidate learning, and time for reflection on how learning has taken place at the end of each lesson. We aim to deliver outstanding lessons, and in our drive to do so, we have identified key strategies and features which must be embedded in teaching and learning. An extracurricular activity (ECA) or extra academic activity (EAA) is an activity, performed by students, that falls outside the realm of the normal curriculum of a school, college, or university education. Well, we held some activities like sports, arts, discourse competitions, tours, participating volunteering, and many more to engage our students to be more familiar with the outer world.
Imaginative activities for young learners can lead to better skills in social interactions and emotional regulation. Lessons in the arts introduce K-12 students to problem-solving techniques, which help them to see the world in new ways and provide access to creative ways of knowing.
The Arts Unit provides students and teachers with highly motivating and engaging opportunities that inspire their creative potential. The Arts Unit delivers programs throughout in dance, drama, music, visual arts, debating, public speaking, reading, spelling, and special events.
