Why some children need extra help

There may be a variety of reason why pupils fail into the 3 categories mentioned, for example it could be that some pupils;

• May have been taught a skill in primary school but fail to secure it when starting secondary school.
• May have difficulty grasping a concept and putting it into practice in the classroom.
• May have lack of experience in Language or Mathematics.

Pupil identified as benefiting from “Tuition” will have the opportunity to access ‘IO’ one hour personalized tutoring sessions.
